Steven Zarzecki

Pilates Instructor, Movement Professional

Steven is a highly skilled Pilates instructor, movement professional, and dancer/performer with a lifelong dedication to somatic practices. His journey into movement began at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where he earned his BFA and delved deeply into various somatic disciplines, including Yoga, Alexander Technique, Laban Studies, and Pilates.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Steven pursued advanced training at the prestigious Kane School of Core Integration in New York City, honing his expertise in a clinical approach to the Pilates method. He further enriched his knowledge by undertaking the Functional Anatomy for Movement and Injuries program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in NYC.

In 2016, Steven transitioned to Chicago, where he established his teaching venture and made significant contributions to corporate wellness initiatives and premier studios. During this time, he specialized in working with "neuro clients," collaborating closely with individuals coping with Parkinson’s, MS, and CP.

In 2019, Steven relocated to Southern California, where he continued to expand his teaching repertoire while managing a thriving Pilates studio. Driven by his passion for teaching, he founded Z Moves Pilates to apply his distinctive perspective and neuro-centric approach to movement instruction.

In 2022, Steven completed an advanced graduate-level mentorship program with The Neuro Studio, solidifying his expertise in neurological rehabilitation and performance enhancement. He maintains an ongoing partnership with the organization, contributing to groundbreaking advancements in fitness training and PT/OT protocols for conditions such as TBI, stroke, MS, and Parkinson’s.

"It's incredibly fulfilling to witness the transformative power of working in harmony with the brain. By embracing this approach, we unlock boundless possibilities for our clients, irrespective of their neurological challenges or movement limitations. My ultimate goal is to equip individuals with strategies that seamlessly integrate into their lives, fostering lasting positive change."
